About Us

We’re a team of filmmakers. We work together in various iterations. Here, we are called Borrowtime Films.

We’ve produced short films, sketch comedy, web-series and a full length feature film. And all for virtually nothing.

  1. I just watched the trailer for “Do Something With Your Life” and was impressed and inspired. I’m a writer myself who is currently feeling kind of lost. It’s amazing to see a group of people collaborate to turn their dream(s) into reality. Any chance I could buy you guys coffee/beer and pick your brains?

    • Hi Huelah,

Thanks for the kind words. It is a real challenge to produce films of any length, and having a good team is the most important part of it.
Independent film making these days has gone mainstream, and Hollywood considers $5 million to be an independent budget!! Wow. It’s important for us to make films that tell our stories and dreams. But I don’t have a spare $5 million, so we scrape by with whatever we can!

In the next few weeks and months, we’re going to continue releasing behind the scenes footage and clips from the movie, and we’ll also be discussing some of the tips, tricks and strategies that we incorporated into our film making style to keep the budget down, while keeping quality up.
Stay tuned and keep in touch. We’ll get together soon.

  2. Hey Darren et al. I cowrote and directed NAILED for the Bloodshots contest. I loved your team’s entry — simply brilliant. I’m looking for more projects if you good folks are in search of more collaborators. I’m mainly a writer, but am generally handy. Check me out at http://www.cannonwriter.com, and hit me up at cannonwriter@gmail.com. Again, terrific work — please spread my admiration and wet kisses equally throughout your team.

    • Thanks for the kind words, Chris. Bloodshots was a lot of fun, and “Nailed” was awesome. I ran into your lead actor on the street, and congratulated him.

      Cheers!
      Darren
